These are an incredibly comfortable pair of boots that are very retro and definitely very cool. Once the standard issue footwear of your average hippy, these Minnetonkas are the grandaddy of the knee high moccasin; they've been around a long time. Way more comfortable than the "Minnies" I wore back in my college days, these boots have been improved over the years. The insoles on these latest versions are made of much denser foam and feel wonderful underfoot; they provide a nice cushy ride. I really like soft soles on these boots; IMHO that's what real moccasins are supposed to have. The the double-layered soles on these mocs really adds to their comfort, flexibility, light weight and stealth. These are not glorified house or bedroom slippers, they can be worn comfortably on the street and make an excellent, light weight hunting/stalking boot.... you might even wear them for day hikes.... or maybe rekindle your halcyon days of hippie-dom. Their only drawback is in the wet; they are definitely not the footwear of choice under that condition. On the other hand, they will keep your dogs comfortably warm in the colder weather. Like most all-leather moccasins, these will feel a little snug at first and they should; get 'em in your regular shoe size. After wearing them for a short time they will stretch and conform to the uniqueness of your feet and will fit them like a glove. For guys, these are made to wear with jeans. I lace 'em up over a pair of my well worn 501's... they look great together and it doesn't get any more comfortably casual than that. Be prepared though, cause you'll probably get some positive comments and you'll certainly stand out a bit from the crowd.

I agree with Mike 100%. I've been wearing Minnetonka boot mocs since I was 17. They're great in the woods on a hike or for just bumming around the house or on the town. Not as popular as back in the 80s but becoming cool again for guys--I've had lots of comments asking where I got mine. Got a lot of admiring comments from the ladies too. I also think they look best with your old worn jeans and jean jacket--doesn't get any more comfortable than that!
