this hiker is my favorite! i only wear Dunhams because they know how to make a boot. my heel is cradled, my shoe is laced firmly with no slop room left and the arch is perfectly placed. nice support. light and a great hiking shoe. i like the gusseted tongue (not a thick padded tongue) just right. have sailed through many deep streams & my feet have never gotten wet. have hiked for 4 years so far with my 6600GG's. true to size & mine are comfortable. i can order any style dunham (my size) and when i put them on -they fit very well & i have no break-in time. my hikers have been beaten by rocks, streams, mud & they have even floated downstream once. i had the toe seam stitched this past summer & they are good to go again. hope this helps.
