Let me just say, my MBT's are the greatest footwear I've had in a very long time. I'm 45 and have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've had numerous surgeries on my feet from tendon transfers to joint fusions just trying to keep me mobile. Each surgery has come off without a hitch over the past 21 years, thanks to Dr. Woll and the VA in Portland, OR. I'm able to go 2, maybe I can squeeze out 3, hours of being on my feet at one time before I must sit or lay down for quite a while.
My 13 year old Amanda and I were at a Sierra Trading Post sale here in Meridian back in August or so and discovered these shoes. Both Amanda and I each tried on a pair of shoes. I told the sales lady there helping us, "What a strange feeling," when I tried them on. As I was walking through the store while trying them out, they just "felt right".
My husband moved to Texas in September, so money has been tight for us like for so many others. I looked at the price tag and then Amanda and she said, "Mom, if they feel good, get them." So I did. I CAN WALK! These shoes are such a wonderful, inventive idea, I just can't thank you enough.
Amanda calls these shoes my "Cruisers" because I can walk a long time before I need to sit with them on. In fact, Amanda insisted I wear them to 'Black Friday' after Christmas and we went shopping from 7 am to 5 pm non-stop. Words cannot express to you how nice that felt. I felt almost normal that day, thanks to your shoes.

I have been wearing your shoes for 6 years now and they have changed my life. I have suffered from arthritis of the foot since 1976. Since finding your shoe I have lost 100 pounds and more importantly I am pain free.
I need the High white model to come back please!!!!!!!!!! size 41 seems to be very hard to find in any model now maybe you should make more.
thanks for helping me to discover what it is like to be beautifully fit.

I want to share my story with others who have similar physical conditions. I have advanced acute arthritis in my right knee and ankles. A lifting/twisting injury one year ago, severely worsened these ailments to the point I had to limit my total walking to less than one mile per day. This led to great disappointment as walking is what keeps my 63 year old mind and body fit and trim. I was envisioning being sad, fat, and out of shape for the rest of my life (gaining 30 pounds this last year). I mentioned to a co-worker about my knee and ankle problems and the corresponding sadness. He told me about his MBTs and how they helped his spinal fractures. After watching this co-worker for a month, I decided to try a pair of MBTs. They felt strange at first, but nice and soft on the soles of my feet. After wearing them for a week, I surprisingly noticed that my knee pain was not as severe as before. I began to have a lot of hope, but that hope vanished when I started developing toe pain much the same as I experienced my whole life from wearing shoes. I soon learned from a 30 year shoe veteran that my foot structure is not conducive to wearing closed toed shoes. After much discussion with my "Shoe Man" and an internal mind debate, we opted to purchase a pair of MBT Kisumu Sandals. This turned out to be one of the best decisions of my lifetime. Words cannot do justice to the ecstatic happiness I experience from wearing my MBT sandals. I am up to 4 miles of walking and with very little to even no knee pain. It is amazing as I am walking on concrete sidewalks. The pressure on the soles of my feet is relieved to the degree that I feel I can walk on concrete all day long. The exercising, stretching, and strengthening the MBTs are giving my ligaments and muscles appear to be further alleviating pressure on my arthritic knee and ankles. I walk with a sure footed sense of well being that is giving me the hope of never having knee surgery and the knowledge that my 30 pounds of fat will be gone in six months. My MBT sandals are a life saving GOD SEND. I hope my experience will help someone else and I offer to talk personally with anyone who has questions of me. To all of you people who work for and sell MBTs, goes my sincerest gratitude.

I got my new MBT sneakers and they fit good. I wore them a BIT yesterday and will wear them MORE today. I am going to ease into them as recommended and give it a good solid month before I make any judgement. I HAVE noticed one good thing already though. Because of my Knee surgery I have trouble going DOWN stairs... my BAD knee collapses just before impact and I hit with my good leg with a bit of a jar. My bad knee has caused that leg to be weaker and thinner and I cannot seem to recover the strength. Anyway... when i go downstairs with my MBT's on , JUST as my knee is about to collapse ,,, A) I have an extra half to one INCH because of the thick soles this creates less of an impact and B) I LAND on the middle insted of the back and it forces the impact toward the front of my foot instead of to the back where it jarred my back. so i already have a BIG plus for them. Going Upstairs I have not noticed anything too much but I had no problem really going upstairs anyways... my knee is weak and that hinders me. SO I am looking forward to giving them a real good test!
