Because I felt it imperative before making any recommendation, I went out and purchased a pair of MBT's at the Walking Company at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Wa. I was immediately impressed. Because of continuous heel pain from which I have no relief, the instantaneous elimination of that pain was remarkable. I left the store without purchasing because I was looking to determine if a better price might be had, the total out the door price came to $272.00. I returned that same afternoon two other occasions, finally buying the footwear outright on the third visit. I have worn them continuously since to determine what if any adverse effects might be experienced given the recommendations of the Manufacturer that they be worn a shorter duration, increasingly longer times eased into. I do notice a complete absence of hip pain that has troubled me on the right side, no heel pain whatsoever, and a remarkable presence of muscular tension in the back which is not painful. I believe this to be a direct result of the posture change to accommodate the unique design of the footwear. It does enforce good posture, no slouching with this product. The reviews that I have read imply you either love this product or hate it. Professional opinion varies significantly. Overall, the users appear quite satisfied with the results they have benefited by. Price is an immediate turnoff for many from even considering buying the product. If respondents on sites evaluating the footwear did not like the result from wear of the product, the review was markedly negative. At this time I am personally well pleased. Gary B.
