We at Shoe-store.net have been listening. We’ve heard the plea from the ladies with the larger calves out there, call them muscular, call them big boned, call them what you will. We’ve stumbled upon AYLA or they’ve stumbled upon us we’re not sure which. Ayla is a new brand on the footwear scene here in the U.S. They were in the market last fall but up until now, you could only find them at www.aylaboots.com. They were a little tough to buy up until now because you couldn’t find them at any major retailers, actually, as of this posting you still can’t find them in any store windows except soon to be ours. We have the privilege and the honor to be the first retailer in the U.S to carry the AYLA label. We’ve been test fitting these on our models and in our store and i’ve got to tell you before the reviews are officially in that these are the cat’s pajamas. We don’t advertise that we here at Oppedisano’s Bootery & www.shoe-store.net actually do shoe repair of all types. Shoe repairing or cobbling is somewhat of a dying trade these days. Given our throw away type of mentality a lot of people just buy new. Being a higher end retailer and selling nice shoes many people don’t want to buy new shoes and pay that price if they don’t have to. We have the solution. Send your shoes in for repair! We can do everything from new soles, leather, virbram, rubber, dying, stretching, and all sorts of alterations. The process is fairly simple. We typically charge $6 to ship back to you plus the cost of the actual repair. We can quote you over the phone for typical things and for unquotable items we hope you’ll leave it at our discression as we’re very reasonably priced all things considered.

Hello Dansko fans,

I want to let all you Dansko collector fans know about the new and upcoming limited edition professional style slated for a fall delivery of October 1st 2007. They’re calling it the Brocade series. It’s a furniture print. Unfortunately, I cannot share a picture at this time but As soon as it’s available I will be sure to post it here so stay tuned. It’s akin to an old victorian style furniture print. Really nice actually, I’ve seen it in person and i’m sure they’re going to go fast. Dansko has done limited edition stuff in the past but always kept it somewhat “open stock” so that retailers could keep up with the demand. This fall is going to be different and it’ll be a first for Dansko. What retailers order for their stock will be all they get and all they’ll make. Accordingly, being a small store i’ve only ordered 44 pairs. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. They’ll come in Brown brocade, black brocade, and red brocade. If you’ve already seen the shoe or know that you collect all the Dansko professional limiteds I have posted a link to the location where we will be selling the shoe this fall.
